FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT

One of the most amazing things I did while I was in Chicago was visit a little town called Oak Park, Illinois.  It's about 9 miles west of Chicago and I stumbled upon it by accident.  What I found there was a charming town with very friendly people, and several streets of houses created by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright.  I went to a little book store and got a map of the houses, then took a walking tour to see them.  They are all privately owned and AMAZING.  You can spot the FLW house from far away; his style was so progressive and unique.

Those above are only a few of the houses on the walking tour; I didn't put all of them.

Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio were also located in Oak Park.  You were not allowed to take photos inside, so these are just of the building.

There is also a Unity Temple in Oak Park designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Not a Frank Lloyd Wright house, but nonetheless impressive:  The birthplace of Ernest Hemingway is also located in Oak Park.  It was a couple streets over from the Wright houses.
